This section includes the islands of Pine Island (including Saint James City and Bokeelia) and Matlacha (pronounced mat-la-shey). For those not familiar with the area, Pine Island is quite different than your typically highly developed Florida island. In fact, with the exception of the Northern tip (Bokeelia) and Southern tip (St. James City) it’s very rural, and used largely for agricultural purposes including palm tree farms. The towns on the North and South, as well as Matlacha however offer the avid boater really, really premium boating locations at a much more affordable price than on surrounding islands (and all gulf access listings are also sailboat access).  ...overview continued here

Matlacha is a quaint slice of old Florida, with a great collection of little seafood restaurants with the fishing boats that brought in the day’s catch likely in back of the property. My name is Dan Starowicz and I am a Realtor with Premiere Plus Realty, Co.  I have a number of Real Estate offices throughout SW Florida, with my main office being located in SE Cape Coral (4020 S.
